As for amplification- it’s true pickups won’t get exactly the same sound as microphones,they don;t get the resonance on the the deze and air,just the keys. But it’s possible with pickups to bring out sounds that are subtle,increase sustain,and be able to emphasize different parts of the tone.So it becomes an extended instrument. W/ Guitars ,electric guitar and acoustic guitar are 2 different instruments. For traditional playing mics would be better,for growing into new areas,pickups have lot’s of possibility.
