Do you want to make your own mbira in a tuning that you like? Here is a great opportunity to do so with renowned mbira maker Sebastian Pott.

Tuning a key by comparing to a ‘master’ mbira

When, where and how much?

From the 3rd – 8th November in Devon at Coombe Farm, Sebastian will guide you in the making of a beautiful mbira, all for just £275.

This will all be happening at Coombe Farm, Cove Tiverton EX16 7RU Devon.

Booking your place is easy, please email Sebastian: africaninstruments@gmx.de

(Something worth noting): The workshop holds a small and limited number of people so please book soon to avoid disappointment.

What else will you need?

When you book, Sebastian will tell you more about tools you are asked to bring – if you can – for making  your mbira.

Camping or camper van parking available, there is also a big room for people to sleep or a B&B nearby.

If you require any further details about the workshop, directions, accomodation and day to day arrangements, please email peter@touchfire.co.uk.

Still not sure?

If you are still in doubt that this workshop was made just for you, check out Gilbert’s experience of the workshop here.

  1. Thankyou for posting this Taku, look forward to it happening, good news for those coming from the rest of the UK, Coombe Farm is near Tiverton, not far from the M5, well before you get to South Devon! X Peter
