0% Alcohol Mbira

I easily get bored when I listen to traditional mbira recordings that lack singing or some clapping or whistling or just something! It feels like drinking 0% alcohol beer. If you’ve ever drunk one,  you’ll know what I’m talking about. Beer is not really beer without the alcohol (you know what I mean) For the past 6 months I’ve been off alcohol due to some medication and I’ve ended up resorting to drinking 0% alcohol beer to satisfy the yearning for the taste of a beer. The result has been a partial satisfaction of my taste needs but I’ve equally been left frustrated because something is obviously missing.  That is how I feel about mbira without singing or some clapping or whistling or just something! It just doesn’t feel like it was meant to be that way. The music always feels like it’s been let out ‘naked’.
